Junior High School and Senior High School student-athletes of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) delivered outstanding performances at the National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Games held from May 7 to 16, 2026, in Bacolod City, Negros Island Region.
Representing the institution with excellence and discipline, Grade 11 STEM student John Melwaey L. Matira, under Coach Pablo Umali, secured a Bronze Medal in Karatedo Boys Juniors Male Kumite (-68kg), while Grade 9 PURPOSE student Herson S. Bangay achieved remarkable success in Chess Boys by winning Gold in Board 4 Individual, Gold in the Team Category, and earning the distinction as Best Player in the Secondary High School division. The achievements highlight the dedication, competitive spirit, and athletic competence of UB Lipa’s secondary student-athletes on the national stage.
The victories underscore UBLC’s commitment to holistic education by nurturing both academic excellence and athletic development through sustained training, institutional support, and values formation.
