A total of 14 Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students from the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) College of Management and Tourism successfully earned their Certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt (CLSSWB) and Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CLSSYB) credentials, conferred on May 31 and June 1, 2026, under the accreditation of the Council for Six Sigma Certification.
The certification initiative involved 3rd Year and 2nd Year BS Accountancy students who completed the required training and assessment designed to strengthen their understanding of process improvement, quality management, and data-driven decision-making. The program aimed to equip students with foundational competencies in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, emphasizing efficiency, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, skills aligned with industry demands in accounting and business operations.
The certified 3rd Year BS Accountancy students include Athena Erica C. Atienza, Donajel B. Barquilla, Ashley Gayle D. Gloria, Chloe Sydney M. Menil, Monica C. Onte, Samantha Faye H. Robles, Gianne Jae P. Salonga, Maria Loriecelle M. Samson, Christel M. Villareal (CB, CLSSWB, CLSSYB), Dexie Rose R. Mendoza, and Dynah U. Vergara, all of whom earned both White Belt and Yellow Belt certifications.
Meanwhile, the 2nd Year BS Accountancy students who achieved the same certifications are Khim Trisha B. Aranas (CB, CLSSWB, CLSSYB), Julie Anne L. Formon, Jominique Dwayne A. Peleo, and Grace Shantel S. Roceta. Their accomplishment reflects early exposure to professional certification pathways that strengthen academic learning with industry-aligned competencies.
