Dr. Pastor R. Arguelles Jr. publishes study on sustainable groundwater management

Dr. Pastor R. Arguelles Jr., Director of the Research and Publications Office of University of Batangas Lipa City, successfully published his Scopus-indexed research paper titled “Smart Groundwater Management: Affordable IoT Solutions for Rural Water Supplies” in Waterlines of the Florida Institute of Technology. Recognized under a Quartile 2 (Q2) Scopus-indexed journal, the publication highlights innovative and cost-effective Internet of Things (IoT) solutions designed to improve groundwater monitoring and management for rural communities. 

The study reflects Dr. Arguelles’ continued commitment to advancing research, innovation, and academic excellence while promoting sustainable and technology-driven solutions to pressing water resource challenges.The achievement further strengthens the university’s research initiatives and reinforces its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals  (UNSDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
