On May 25, 2025, the University of Batangas, Lipa City (UBLC) proudly participated in the annual Flores de Mayo celebration organized by the Lipa City Government. Representing the university were Ms. Luissa Mae O. Roxas, a BS Tourism student, and Mr. Syrus Miguel M. Dimayuga, a BS Hospitality Management student, both from the College of Management and Tourism.
The event, deeply rooted in Filipino tradition, celebrates the month of May with floral offerings and community gatherings in honor of the Virgin Mary. The involvement of UBLC students underscores the institution’s dedication to promoting local culture and tradition while fostering a sense of community pride.
Through their participation, Ms. Roxas and Mr. Dimayuga not only showcased the university’s support for cultural activities but also highlighted the strong faith that characterizes the Lipa community. Their presence at the celebration reflects one of UBLC’s core values — Faith in God — and its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who appreciate and uphold their heritage.
The university remains committed to encouraging student engagement in activities that enrich their cultural understanding and deepen their connection to the community.
