The fourth-year graduating students of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program of the College of Education, Arts and Sciences (CEAS) of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) successfully earned the Associate Certified Philippine Human Resource (aCPHR®) certification from the CPHR International Management Academy, a division of the International HR Institute, affirming their competency and readiness for human resource practice.
A total of 32 graduating Psychology students were accredited and certified under the Associate Certified Philippine Human Resource program, a credential designed to equip students pursuing Human Resource and business-related disciplines, including Psychology, with essential knowledge and competencies in the field of human resources. The certification program also serves as a preparatory pathway for aspiring HR professionals seeking to establish careers in the dynamic and evolving human resource industry.
The certification recognized the successful completion and demonstration of foundational competencies in key areas of human resource management. Through the program, students developed practical and theoretical understanding of human resource functions, organizational practices, and professional standards that are vital in workplace settings. The initiative forms part of the program’s commitment to producing graduates equipped with industry-relevant skills and globally recognized qualifications.
Further highlighting the students’ outstanding performance, three BS Psychology graduates secured places among the national top scorers in the certification examination. Karla Bianca Onor ranked second nationwide with a score of 89.48 percent, followed by Yvonne Ericka Lubi at fourth place with 89.02 percent, and Ysabelle Rodriguez at ninth place with 86.95 percent. Their achievement reflects the academic excellence and quality training provided by the Psychology program and the College of Education, Arts and Sciences.
