Atty. Mayling Ilagan-Capuno, Dean of the College of Information Technology, Entertainment and Communication (CITEC) of the University of Batangas Lipa City, was invited as part of the Philippine delegation representing the CALABARZON region in the ACER Edu Summit 2026 held on April 21, 2026, at Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Centered on the theme “Future-Ready Learning: AI, Innovation and Human-Centered Education,” the international gathering convened education leaders, policymakers, and academic experts to discuss emerging trends and transformative practices in global education.
Her participation underscored the University’s commitment to advancing inclusive, innovative, and future-ready education aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) 4, Quality Education, and UNSDG 9, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Through engagement in high-level discussions on artificial intelligence integration, innovation in pedagogy, and human-centered learning frameworks, Atty. Ilagan-Capuno contributed to strengthening international collaboration and knowledge exchange aimed at enhancing educational systems. The involvement of UBLC in such global platforms reinforces its role in promoting academic excellence and driving innovation in higher education.
