Three students from the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) earned prestigious titles and special awards during the Mister & Miss Lipa Tourism 2026 pageant held on June 20, 2026, at Plaza Independencia, demonstrating excellence, confidence, and strong representation of the University in one of the city’s premier tourism and cultural pageants.
Leading the University’s awardees was Felyciti Claire Marin, a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management student from the College of Management and Tourism, who was crowned Miss Lipa Tourism 2026 3rd Runner-Up and received the Best in Cultural Attire award. Representing the College of Criminal Justice Education, Vincent Emmanuel Sayas, a Bachelor of Science in Criminology student, was named Mister Lipa Tourism 2026 4th Runner-Up and earned the Mr. Mount Malarayat special award. Meanwhile, Marlo Anthony Parco, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student from the College of Information Technology, Entertainment and Communication, achieved Mister Lipa Tourism 2026 2nd Runner-Up honors while receiving multiple special awards, including Best in Swimwear, Best in Cultural Attire, Ambassador of Solano Hotel, and Ambassador of Aquamarine.
The pageant brought together outstanding young men and women from various academic institutions and communities, providing a platform to promote tourism, cultural appreciation, leadership, and public service. Through their exceptional performances, the UBLC students showcased their poise, stage presence, the values, discipline, and excellence that the University continues to cultivate among its students.
The remarkable achievements of the three UBian reflect the University’s commitment to holistic student development by providing opportunities that enable learners to excel beyond the classroom. Their success likewise highlights the important role of extracurricular engagement in developing communication skills, leadership, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility while serving as ambassadors of the University and the City of Lipa.
