UBLC celebrates internship milestone with Conduent Philippines partnership

The College of Information Technology, Entertainment and Communication and the College of Education, Arts, and Sciences, together with the UBLC Internship Office, successfully concluded the Students Internship Culminating Activity and company tour in partnership with Conduent Philippines on May 22, 2026, at Tower 1, LIMA Estate, Lipa City, Batangas. 

The event formally marked the completion of the internship journey of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology student interns who underwent industry immersion and workplace training under the company’s guidance. As part of the engagement, Conduent Philippines also conducted an exclusive facility tour for University of Batangas Lipa City personnel, providing them with an opportunity to observe the company’s modern workspace, operational systems, and corporate environment. The initiative highlighted the university’s continued commitment to strengthening academe-industry collaboration and equipping students with practical skills, professional exposure, and real-world experiences aligned with the demands of the workforce.

The participants were warmly welcomed by Mr. Kurt Urbanozo through an inspiring message emphasizing partnership and professional growth. Also present during the activity were Ms. Kathy Gutierrez, who delivered the closing remarks, together with Mr. Adrian Camitan, Ms. Chi Pastolero, and Mr. Noel Villamarin. Representing the University of Batangas Lipa City were Assistant Internship Officer Mr. Jobert M. Legaspi; Atty. Mayling Ilagan-Capuno; Dr. Minerva Apita-Chavez; Dr. Kielly Chrizza Mae T. Lara; Mr. Russel G. Reyes; Ms. Rachell Bedes; and Ms. Krisha Marie C. Subing-Subing, reflecting the active collaboration of different academic units in advancing quality education and meaningful industry engagement. 

Through initiatives such as this, the university continues to support the goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education and Sustainable Development Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth by preparing students for globally competitive and industry-responsive careers.
