University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC), in partnership with the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA), successfully conducted Marketing Connect on May 13, 2026 at Trattoria Lipeña, gathering hundreds of participants from industry, academe, and corporations across Batangas.
Established in 1946, PMA serves as a strong pillar of support and direction for marketers in the Philippines and across the region, advancing excellence and service in the marketing and business community, with its vision to be the catalyst and advocate of world-class marketing practices in business, industry, and academe in the Philippines within the global arena, and its mission to drive thought leadership by creating a community of globally competent marketers, providing relevant marketing education platforms, and recognizing Filipino marketing excellence to inspire nation-building.
The event featured industry leaders Dr. Raymond Vergara, CPM Asia of De La Salle University, and Arthur Jumarang, President of ThruCloud Solutions and Consulting Inc., who shared practical strategies on brand building and market identification. In attendance were PMA Director for Chapters Ms. Jaana Loreen F. Abrogena, President/CEO of DICE205 Digital Corporation, Director for Government & Consumer Affairs Ms. Myraflor A. Miranda, CPM, Owner of Got-it-All Marketing, and PMA Secretariat Mr. Richard Anonuevo. The initiative supports UNSDG 4 (Quality Education), UNSDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and UNSDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing UBLC’s commitment to academic and industry collaboration.
The program served as a regional platform for SMEs, professionals, and the academe to exchange insights and expand professional networks through expert-led discussions and collaborative learning opportunities. During the event, Ms. Jaana Loreen F. Abrogena encouraged participants to join the PMA, highlighting access to a community of marketing professionals, exclusive events, professional development programs, and direct engagement with industry leaders, emphasizing that in its 71st year, PMA continues to offer fresh ideas, creative executions, and expanded networking channels to strengthen marketing practice in the country.
