Faculty members from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CENAR) of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) have successfully earned their Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CLSSGB), marking a significant milestone in their professional development. The certified faculty include Dr. Annabelle Magsino, Engr. Jenny Mendoza, Engr. Nica D. Cueto, Engr. Reyven Culis, and Engr. Paul Richard Cuarez. The certification, accredited by the Council for Six Sigma Certification through MST Connect Educational Consultancy, a PRC-accredited CPD provider (Accreditation No. OCE-2022-062), was awarded after the faculty successfully completed the required examination and case project, demonstrating their competence in data-driven process improvement methodologies.

The certification was earned through rigorous training in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt competencies, particularly the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), which equips professionals to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance quality in organizational processes. As Green Belts, the faculty members are now prepared to lead small-to-mid-sized improvement projects and support larger initiatives led by Black Belts through data analysis, process mapping, and evidence-based solution implementation. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to continuous improvement in instructional and operational practices, ensuring that faculty expertise remains aligned with global quality standards.

Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), this milestone strengthens UBLC’s mission to deliver high-quality, relevant, and future-ready education. By enhancing the competencies of its educators in process excellence and data-driven decision-making, the University ensures improved teaching strategies, more efficient academic systems, and enriched student learning experiences. Ultimately, this certification reinforces the institution’s dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning, contributing to the development of globally competitive graduates.
