The College of Management and Tourism (CMT) of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) continues to set the bar high as its students strengthen their professional competencies through internationally recognized certifications, reinforcing the university’s commitment to academic excellence and industry readiness. Recently, several students from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy programs successfully earned certifications accredited by the Council for Six Sigma Certification, demonstrating UBLC’s sustained pursuit of quality education aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) 4 on Quality Education and 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Leading the achievement are three third-year BSBA Financial Management students – Daphane Erin P. Capistrano, Mary Rose R. Honrubia, and Seira Gwyneth I. Las who obtained both the Certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt (CLSSWB) and Yellow Belt (CLSSYB) certifications. Strengthening the lineup, three third-year BS Accountancy students – Bernadette Marie V. Avellana, Anne Marjorie M. Caringal, and Allysa Kimberly M. Virrey also earned the same dual certifications. The credentials affirm students’ mastery of process improvement principles, analytical thinking, and operational efficiency skills essential in modern business and financial environments.
Sustaining the momentum of excellence, two additional third-year students further showcased CMT’s growing competence in professional certification. Harvey Maye Mangubat from BSBA Human Resource Management and Mel Francis Escamillas from BSBA Financial Management successfully passed the Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CLSSYB) certification, highlighting the college’s cross-disciplinary commitment to equipping future professionals with globally competitive competencies beyond classroom instruction.
Complementing these achievements, Hannah Laine D. Linga, a graduating BSBA Marketing Management student, secured Rank 10 in the Certified Marketing Management Specialist (CMMS) examination, adding another milestone to the college’s expanding roster of nationally recognized student accomplishments. Her recognition reflects UBLC’s strong emphasis on experiential learning, professional exposure, and outcome-based education that prepares students for leadership roles in marketing and business industries.
