The University of Batangas proudly congratulates Atty. Sonny Jose M. Ricablanca, esteemed faculty member of the UB College of Law, for earning the highest distinction of Benemeritus during his dissertation defense at the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law on May 17, 2025.
Atty. Ricablanca’s dissertation, titled “Respeto sa Karapatan ng mga Nakapiit sa Bilangguan: A Proposed Magna Carta of Rights of Persons Deprived of Liberty in the Philippines in Accordance with the Mandela Rules and Other International Legal Standards,” reflects a deep commitment to human rights and justice reform.
With this, UB commends Atty. Ricablanca for this outstanding academic achievement and his continuing contributions to the legal profession and legal education.
