The University of Batangas proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of two of its youngest math whizzes, Queen Elizabeth Tumaliuan and Yani Cueto, both Grade 1 pupils, for winning the Gold Award in the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) 2025 – Heat Round (Philippines).
Their remarkable success in one of the most competitive math olympiads highlights not only their exceptional talent but also the strength of early mathematics education at UB.
This achievement was made possible through the expert mentorship of their coaches, Mrs. Teofila Serrano and Ms. Daisy Gratil, whose guidance and support played a vital role in preparing the young learners for international excellence.
The University of Batangas commends these students for bringing pride to the school at such an early age and proving that passion and perseverance can shine at any stage of learning.
