The University of Batangas (UB) continues to establish its footprint in national student leadership as Trisha Nicole Panganiban, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development Management (BSHRDM) student, secured the highest post in the Junior Asian Association of Schools Human Resource Practitioners, Inc. (JRAASHPI) on March 13, 2026.

As National President, Panganiban will spearhead initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration among student HR practitioners. Her responsibilities include presiding over national assemblies, advocating for student welfare in the HR discipline, and strengthening the bridge between academic theory and industry practice.

The UB community views this victory as a testament to the university’s rigorous training in management and organizational leadership. Panganiban’s ascent to this role provides a platform for UB to influence the future standards of human resource development at the student level, encouraging more scholars to engage in professional networking and organizational excellence.

Panganiban’s new role and the mission of JRAASHPI align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflecting the university’s commitment to developing globally competitive leaders. By taking on this executive position, she advances SDG 4: Quality Education, ensuring that students gain access to high-level leadership training and professional development outside the traditional classroom. Furthermore, her work with the association supports SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth as she helps prepare the next generation of HR professionals to create ethical, productive, and inclusive work environments. Finally, her leadership embodies SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as she facilitates international and local partnerships that strengthen the academic and professional communities across the Asian region.
