Before the University of Batangas’ (UB) 80th Founding Anniversary, the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA, Inc.) ranked UB as 5th as the university with highest number of accredited programs in the Philippines during its 52nd Founding Anniversary and 36th Annual General Assembly on December 10, 2025 at the Novotel Manila.
UB President Lily Marlene Hernandez-Bohn, President Emeritus Hernando B. Perez, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) Dr. Lolita F. Tegon, College of Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Hospitality and Real Estate (CENTHRE) Dean Dr. Irene De Villa, and Assistant University Registrar Dr. Sharlene A. Perico were present to receive the prestigious award.
The ranking reflects UB’s continuous expansion and maintenance of accredited academic programs that meet nationally recognized standards for quality, relevance, and institutional effectiveness. Through systematic quality assurance mechanisms and curriculum enhancement, the university strengthens its academic offerings across multiple disciplines.
The achievement directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by ensuring access to high-quality, standards-based education. It also advances Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by underscoring UB’s active collaboration with accreditation bodies and academic partners to elevate institutional capacity.
With this recognition, the University of Batangas reinforces its role as a center of excellence committed to delivering quality education and sustaining partnerships that drive continuous improvement and national educational development.
