The University of Batangas (UB) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Dean, program heads, and selected faculty members gathered for a focused, data-driven session at the University of Batangas on April 28, 2025.
They collaboratively examined performance metrics, and analyzed results from Customer Satisfaction Surveys and E-SETP evaluations. This intensive review formed the basis of a comprehensive SWOT analysis, allowing the team to pinpoint institutional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
This data-first approach anchored the morning session of the college’s Academic Year-End Review and Strategic Planning Session. The group then used these insights to rigorously assess the college’s Vision, Mission, and Objectives (VMO), ensuring continued relevance and alignment with institutional goals. This meticulous evaluation process empowered the faculty to design strategic, data-informed action plans focused on faculty development, marketing, and community outreach.
In the afternoon, the discussions expanded to key academic and policy topics shaping the future of education. The faculty engaged in professional development dialogues on the mental health law, the revised SHS curriculum, microcredentialing, and internationalization. These sessions equipped educators with updated knowledge and insights, directly enhancing their teaching effectiveness and institutional engagement.
This event provided a vital avenue for collective reflection, planning, and professional learning. The Academic Year-End Review and Strategic Planning Session exemplified the University of Batangas’ commitment to continuous improvement and lifelong learning.
