Faculty members and students of the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) program proudly represented University of Batangas at the 2nd National Convention of the Philippine Society of Respiratory Therapy Educators (PSRTE), held at the Plaza Garden Hotel, Baguio City last April 24-25, 2025

The convention, organized by PSRTE — the national organization of respiratory therapy educators and students — served as a vital platform for academic collaboration, professional development, and the exchange of best practices in respiratory therapy education.

One of the most anticipated segments of the event was the recognition of outstanding institutions and individuals who excelled in the February 2025 Respiratory Therapist Licensure Examination. This recognition underscored the academic rigor and dedication of both educators and students across the country.

Adding to the distinction of the event, Dr. Loralie Evangeline Perez-Miranda, Program Head of the BSRT program, was invited as one of the featured speakers. Her presentation offered valuable insights into current trends, challenges, and innovations in respiratory therapy education, further contributing to the field’s development nationwide.

The BSRT program’s participation in this national convention reflects its unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its active engagement with the wider professional community. Through events like this, the program continues to empower future respiratory therapists with the knowledge, skills, and professional connections needed to thrive in the healthcare sector.
