Brahman pride in La Union – University of Batangas (UB) Grade 4 student captured both gold and silver medals during the 1st SKIF-SMAC Karatedo Championship held at the Lorma Grade School in San Juan, La Union, on May 23, 2026.
Ryu M. Garcia, a Grade 4 student from section Hidalgo, secured his podium finishes across two distinct elite categories: Gold Medal – 8-9 Years Old Advanced Kumite (Sparring) and Silver Medal – 8-9 Years Old Advanced Kata (Form).
Garcia’s commanding performance against top-tier regional practitioners highlight the technical efficacy of the university’s primary education athletic framework.
