The University of Batangas (UB) Graduate School continues its relentless pursuit of academic distinction as the institution welcomed the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for a comprehensive evaluation at the 2nd Floor of the UB Life Building Conference Room on April 22, 2026.

Dean Ma. Annabelle I. Tenorio led the UB Graduate School delegation, showcasing the department’s innovative curricula and robust research initiatives as the university faced a distinguished panel of evaluators including Dr. Danilo K. Villena of the Technical Panel and Graduate School Teacher Education, RQAT members Dr. Rosemarie D. Sabado, Dr. Edilberto Z. Andal, and Dr. Jerome A. Porto, CHED-OPSD Representative Ms. Pamela Llamedo, and CHED-IV Education Supervisor Dr. Corazon M. Flores.

The assessment focused on institutional integrity, faculty qualifications, and the efficacy of student support systems, ensuring that our UBian brand of education remains competitive on a global scale through this collaborative dialogue between the university and the regulators.

By opening our doors to such scrutiny, UB actively champions United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. We recognize that high-level research and advanced learning serve as the bedrock for societal progress. This assessment validates our efforts to provide inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities for all our graduate students.

Furthermore, this exercise supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The synergy between the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and UB Graduate School exemplifies how institutional cooperation strengthens the quality of the nation’s human capital.
