The University of Batangas (UB) Grade Schoolers demonstrated exceptional academic skills in the Asian Science and Math Olympiad (ASMO) National Round 2025, held online on October 12, 2025.

Yani Cueto, a Grade 2 student from the Integrity section, earned the Silver Award in Mathematics, while Netania Maryse Matira, a Grade V student from the Aguinaldo section, received a Merit Award in English and Science.

Mrs. Rhea Grace M. Garcia, the Academic Coordinator of the UB Grade School, affirmed their goals as teachers in developing their students’ critical and analytical thinking skills.

“It’s important for us to realize our goals for our students as we share the same intensity of care as their parents,” Mrs. Garcia said. She added, “We always make sure that every day, there is ‘learning’ happening inside the classrooms. We also offer enhancement opportunities for students who are having difficulty understanding the concepts, so no one will be left behind.”

International Champions in Education (ICE) organized the competition, challenging students across Asia to showcase their proficiency in Mathematics, Science, and English.

Their achievement highlights progress toward United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education, emphasizing inclusive, equitable, and high-quality learning opportunities. The recognition also encourages young learners to pursue STEM and language mastery, building competencies essential for lifelong learning and global competitiveness.
