From August 26 to 28, 2025, the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 recognized Engr. Gilbert Mendoza, General Engineering Coordinator of the University of Batangas’ (UB) College of Engineering, as Expert in Mechanical Engineering Computer-Aided Design (CAD) at World Trade Center Manila.
The event gathered top youth talents from ASEAN member countries to showcase their technical and vocational skills, aiming to set a global standard for skills excellence in the region. Engr. Mendoza contributed his expertise in CAD alongside more than 300 participants from 11 ASEAN countries, covering six major sectors ranging from technology to hospitality.
His recognition reflects the true UBian spirit–showcasing that the University of Batangas is a globally driven institution, prepared to take on international challenges and opportunities.
Engr. Mendoza, together with the team he mentored, won the Bronze Medal.
