Two University of Batangas (UB) swimmers showcased their excellence at the 25th Southern Tagalog Amateurs Swimming Association – Philippine Aquatics Inc. (STASA-COPA) held on August 2, 2025, at the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Calamba Campus.
Maria Ysabelle Kassandra E. Acosta powered her way to a silver medal in the 100m Breaststroke – Class B. She also delivered strong performances in multiple events, finishing 4th in 4x25m Medley Relay, 5th in 50m Freestyle – Class B, 7th in 4x50m Freestyle Relay, 9th in 200m Individual Medley – Class B and 50m Backstroke – Class B.
Filip Murcielago Adventure Solares captured the gold medal in the 200m Individual Medley. He added to his medal haul with a 2nd-place finish in the 50m Backstroke and 3rd-place finish in the 100m Breaststroke. Solares also turned in commendable efforts in the 50m Freestyle, 4x50m Freestyle Relay, and 4x25m Medley Relay.
Their grit, determination, and sportsmanship embodied the true spirit of UBians, proving that passion and perseverance lead to victory.
