The University of Batangas formally opened the Academic Year 2025 – 2026 with Tatak UBian: The Orientation and Re-Orientation Program held at the UB Millenium Gymnasium on July 30, 2025.
The day started with student and parent registration, followed by the symbolic torch lighting ceremony. The Parada Ala UBian parade set off, culminating with all UBians gathered at the UBML Gymnasium.
The UB Chorale, one of the university’s esteemed cultural organizations, led the invocation, the Philippine National Anthem, and the UB Hymn. To welcome the attendees, University President Lily Marlene J. Hernandez-Bohn delivered her opening remarks.
The UB administrators, academic units, chiefs of offices, and support staff were introduced to the new UBians followed by the awarding of early enrollees, top-performing UB Senior High School graduates who pursued their tertiary education at UB, and UBAT topnotchers.
The highlight of this event is the UBian101: Ang Tatak ng Isang UBian, which is an orientation for Higher Education students on the institution’s values and traditions. The program’s momentum was boosted by an intermission performance from the UB Indayog Kultura Dance Company, followed by an open forum.
Afterward, the newly elected UB Student Government (UBSG) officers and the UB Brahmans—student-athletes representing the university—were introduced. This segment led into the presentation of the official Brahmans Chant, a spirited performance by the UB Pep Squad, and the recitation of the UBian Oath.
The event concluded with an evaluation, final announcements, and closing remarks.
With the theme “A True-Blooded UBians’ Orientation Program”, the university aims to inspire its new students to embrace UB’s philosophy, vision, mission, goals, and objectives (UB PVMGO) along with its core values—equipping them for both academic excellence and personal growth.
