University of Batangas and Cavite State University Forge Strategic Partnership in Criminal Justice Education

The University of Batangas College of Criminal Justice Education (UB CCJE), in collaboration with the External Affairs Office, continues to advance its commitment to knowledge, innovation, and research in pursuit of enhancing the quality of its academic programs. On July 8, 2025, the UB CCJE department, along with the University President, Lily Marlene J. Hernandez and the Vice President for External Affairs Dr. Abegayle Machelle M. Perez-Chua, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cavite State University. The signing ceremony took place at Cavite State University’s main campus in Indang, Cavite, Philippines.

This collaboration represents a major milestone in advancing criminal justice education and research by creating professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. It aims to keep them at the forefront of their fields and responsive to the evolving demands of the discipline.

As part of this partnership, both universities will collaborate in sharing and utilizing resources—such as academic materials, library collections, and research facilities—to enhance the efficiency and overall quality of their criminal justice programs.

This impactful partnership will pave the way for greater innovation, expanded opportunities, and lasting contributions to the field of criminal justice education.

VISION

The Criminology Education program is envisioned in producing graduates who have the knowledge and skills in addressing the problem of criminality in the country and the competence to meet the challenge of globalization.

MISSION

To provide the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement, and custody and rehabilitation of offenders.

OBJECTIVES

• Inspire and instill in the students the value of service to God and Humanity and respect to duly Constituted Authorities;
• Provide the students the basic and fundamental knowledge and skills in the various law disciplines applicable in the proper and efficient attainment of the Criminal Justice System Process and an unwavering attitudes and commitment in the prevention and control of criminality in the community, law enforcement and other related areas in the light of modern crime fighting and technology;
• Develop in the students communication skills vital to their continuous acquisition and use of interactive activities with the community they may be destined to live and serve;
• Promote health, physical fitness and sportsmanship by providing training in the art of self-defense and marksmanship;
• Enhance vision so that in this enforcement task, he would intelligently decide justice, law and order; and
• Integrate development of moral character and personal discipline in learning the courses/subjects in the curriculum.
