The University of Batangas took a significant milestone toward expanding its services to the Mauban Local Government Unit by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on December 5, 2024, in Mauban, Quezon.
The MOU represents a mutual commitment to extend UB’s programs and activities to the Mauban LGU, enriching government-academic collaboration and strengthening community development initiatives. Key areas of collaboration include Graduate School programs, UB Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), Scholastic and Educational Assistance, On-the-Job Training, and Internships, among others. This collaboration is set to benefit Mauban residents by providing access to educational opportunities and developmental initiatives that will contribute to the growth of both the university and the community.
This partnership was reinforced with the presence of Mauban Municipal Mayor Erwin Pastrana, his wife and Pambayang Kolehiyo ng Mauban Board of Trustee Member Ms. Ma. Teresa Pastrana, PKM College President Dr. Fe D. Nava, PKM Board of Trustees Member Mr. Francis Xavier M. Paleracio, Ms. Maricon Kaye P. Arenas, UB President Lily Marlene Hernandez-Bohn, Dr. Abegayle Machelle M. Perez-Chua, Dr. Imelda de los Reyes, Dr. Miraflor Gutierrez, Mr. Christer Lopez, Mr. Allan Santillana, Ms. Daisy Maghirang, and Ms. Adelaida Viduya.
