The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) South Season 25 concluded with a spirited closing ceremony on October 11, 2024, at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite Gymnasium. The event showcased the competitive spirit and athletic prowess of various colleges and universities, culminating in a celebration of excellence in sports.
The University of Batangas emerged as a dominant force this season, being hailed champion in several key competitions such as Volleyball Women, Volleyball Girls, Beach Volleyball Men, Football Men and Taekwondo Women.
In addition to these championship victories, the Brahman team also displayed commendable performances, securing 2nd place in both Volleyball Boys and Beach Volleyball Women while achieving 3rd place in several other competitions, including Volleyball Men, Table Tennis Girls, Taekwondo Men, Poomsae Senior and Chess Women.
The UB Brahman team finished as Rank 2 (1st Runner Up) in the Senior Division, demonstrating exceptional skill and teamwork. In the Junior Division, the team secured Rank 5, highlighting the depth of talent within the university’s athletic programs.
The closing ceremonies were attended by key university officials, including University President Lily Marlene J. Hernandez-Bohn, Sports Director Mr. Christopher V. Quizon, and Sports Coordinator Mr. Henry M. Gonzales, alongside the respective coaches and trainers who have tirelessly supported our athletes.
These accomplishments underscore the commitment of the University of Batangas to fostering a culture of excellence in sports. As we celebrate this season’s successes, we look forward to building on this momentum and achieving even greater heights in the future.
