The University of Batangas conducted “UBnited: UB As One” a donation drive aimed at providing urgent relief to families affected by Typhoon Kristine in the hardest-hit areas of Laurel, Batangas. The drive specifically targeted 100 families in Barangay J. Leviste’s Leviste Chapel and 50 families in Barangay Molinete who were displaced by the calamity.
The distribution of relief packages took place on October 31, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Each package was designed to provide essential needs, containing rice, instant noodles, canned goods, coffee, hygiene kits, a blanket, biscuits, a towel, and bottled water. These items were carefully selected to meet immediate nutritional and hygiene needs, offering comfort and sustenance to families as they began to rebuild.
The drive was conducted in close coordination with local government units (LGUs), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and camp managers to ensure smooth and effective distribution. The university expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who supported this mission and encouraged ongoing compassion and unity. Together, UB remained UBnited in service and solidarity.
