UBLC showcases talent and institutional pride at the 26th SLCUAA closing ceremony

The Culture, Arts, and Publications Office and the Sports Development Office of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) actively participated in the 26th Southern Luzon Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SLCUAA) Closing Ceremony held at De La Salle Lipa, celebrating a successful season of athletic excellence, artistic expression, and institutional collaboration among member schools.

Representing UBLC during the culminating program were outstanding student performers, Jose Antonio Melo for College Vocal Solo and Kristina Cassandra Litargo for High School Vocal Solo, who showcased the university’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent alongside athletic development. Their performances highlighted the role of culture and the arts in fostering holistic student growth and promoting creative excellence within intercollegiate platforms.

Adding distinction to the university’s presence, UBLC proudly presented its official muse, Ms. Julia R. Agdon, whose grace, confidence, and elegance reflected the institution’s core values of pride, excellence, and unity. Her participation symbolized the university’s dedication to representing Batangueño talent with honor and professionalism while strengthening camaraderie among participating institutions.

As one of the members of the Southern Luzon Colleges and Universities Athletic Association, the University of Batangas Lipa City has remained an active partner since the organization’s inception. The successful conclusion of the 26th season marked another milestone for UBLC, which celebrated significant achievements gained through sports competitions, cultural events, and collaborative initiatives that strengthened ties among higher education institutions in Southern Luzon.

The closing ceremony served as recognition of athletic and cultural accomplishment and as a platform reinforcing shared educational goals aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. UBLC’s participation supported UNSDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being by promoting physical fitness and student wellness through sports engagement; UNSDG 4: Quality Education by cultivating talent, creativity, and leadership beyond the classroom; and UNSDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering cooperation and solidarity among academic institutions through SLCUAA.

Through the combined efforts of the Culture, Arts, and Publications Office and the Sports Development Office, UBLC continues to advance holistic education by integrating athletics, arts, and institutional partnership. The university’s active involvement in SLCUAA Season 26 underscores its enduring commitment to developing well-rounded students and strengthening regional academic collaboration while upholding excellence in both performance and character.
