The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) Counseling and Psychological Wellness Center recently celebrated the World Mental Health Day with the theme “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.” The event kicked off with an engaging program, during which the COPWell Center offered practical advice on how to make mental health a priority in work environments. In addition, they introduced exciting perks from their partners for World Mental Health Month, creating a buzz of anticipation across the UBLC community. To further promote mental well-being, participants enjoyed a relaxing group exercise designed to help relieve stress and encourage mindfulness. This session was a key part of the program, underscoring the importance of self-care and mental wellness in daily life.

The celebration didn’t stop there. The vibrant booths set up by the UB COPWell Center offered opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to connect, engage, and actively participate in raising awareness for mental health. In a lively and energizing twist, the UBLC community came together for “Zumba Your Blues Away,” an event filled with fun, energy, and movement. Students, faculty, and staff danced away their stresses in a vibrant, upbeat atmosphere. Adding to the fun, awards were given to those who stood out, including the Best Zumba Outfits and Best in Zumba performances.

One of the most symbolic highlights of the event was the “Light up Blue for Mental Health” initiative, where the UBLC facade was bathed in blue light as a tribute to mental health awareness. The glowing lights, paired with the strong sense of community, served as a powerful reminder of the importance of mental well-being, and UBLC’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive environment for all.
