University of Batangas (UB) will hold the Presidential Investiture Ceremony of its first female President, Lily Marlene J. Hernandez-Bohn, at the Juan Y. Javier Culture and Arts Building of the UB Batangas City (UBBC) campus this January 4, 2024.
Hernandez-Bohn previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Regents, Treasurer, and Executive Vice President before stepping up to the role of University President.
Guests from the government, higher education, industries, other institutions, and selected invitees are expected to attend the momentous occasion.
The ceremony will commence with a welcoming message by Dr. Aurora P. Tolentino, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) followed by the recitation of the poem “Mga Gunita at Pag-asa” by Keian and Andrea Bohn, son and daughter of the University President.
Furthermore, citations shall be given by University of the Philippines (UP) President Angelo A. Jimenez, Miriam College President Laura Quiambao-Del Rosario, and Santa Clara University President Julie Sullivan.
Atty. Jesus V. Mayo, Chairman of the Board of Regents, shall lead the rites of the Presidential Investiture Ceremony, including the Imposition of Presidential Medallion, Presentation of University Mace, and the Oath of Office; Hernandez-Bohn shall give her remarks in her Investiture Address after taking her oath as University President.
Cultural groups of the University such as the UB Chorale and Indayog Kultura Dance Company will showcase their performances throughout the duration of the ceremony.
