HAPPENING NOW: The University of Batangas (UB) is spearheading today the Presidential Investiture Ceremony of Lily Marlene J. Hernandez-Bohn at the Juan Y. Javier Culture and Arts Building of the UB Batangas City (UBBC) campus.
The event marks Hernandez-Bohn making history as the first female President of the University in its 78 years of existence. Apart from administrators and employees, invitees from the political arena, educational institutions, business industries, and other guests are at the venue to witness the momentous occasion.
Initiating the activities related to the ceremony, including the presidential oath of office of Hernandez-Bohn, is Atty. Jesus V. Mayo under his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Regents.
The program is hosted by the master of ceremonies Dr. Augusto C. Africa, UBBC Senior High School Principal and Basic Education Director.
Before the Presidential Investiture, a Eucharistic Celebration was held yesterday by Most Rev. Ramon C. Arguelles, Archbishop Emeritus of Lipa, in honor of the said event.
