UB hosts NCAA-S Season 24; kicks off on Feb 24

Eleven participating schools from National Capital Region (NCR) and Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon (CALABARZON) will take part in the opening ceremony on the 24th Season of National Collegiate Athletic Association – South (NCAA-S), Carmelo Q. Quizon Gymnasium, Feb. 24, 2023 at 4 PM.

Among the participating schools of this event are San Beda College Alabang, Colegio de San Juan De Letran- Calamba, De La Salle Lipa, Emilio Aguinaldo College- Cavite, First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities, Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas, Philippine Christian University- Dasmarinas, San Pablo Colleges, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta- Calamba, TRACE College and UB. Themed as “We rise, stride & play as one!”, everyone can play together as a community to promote unity and collaboration towards a goal to promote a sense of purpose and enjoyment.

Meanwhile, the opening program will be preceded by the entrance of the athletes, muses, coaches, the members of the NCAA-S Management Committee (ManComm), including the Policy Board of the 11 participating schools.

“We started with the rehabilitation of the gym, then yung invitation ng mga celebrity athletes and physical arrangements ng pagdating ng mga bisita. Since we are the host, we want to give it a good performance pati yung training ng mga athletes natin. We provide them with the necessary equipments na kailangan din natin”, shared Mr. Christopher V. Quizon, UB Sports Director.

Furthermore, UB Brahman Pep Squad is expected to perform along with the return of bench cheering, and followed by the speech of the speakers and the NCAA-S Guest of Honors Lewis Alfred “LA” Vasquez Tenorio, the Point Guard of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Cherry Ann “Sisi” Rondina, Beach Volleyball Player of Creamline Cool Smashers.
