The University of Batangas College of Arts and Sciences (UB CAS), under the leadership of Dr. Priscilla Mizpah P. Santillana, launched the Health and Wellness Check on January 11, 2024, to promote physical and mental well-being within its community.
UB CAS encouraged students, faculty, and staff to practice self-care, manage stress, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. The college designed this initiative to motivate the university community to stay proactive about their health and wellness.
The program advanced Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, specifically Indicator 3.3.7 – Mental Health Support for Staff, by ensuring that staff and students access mental health support and education.
Through the Health and Wellness Check poster, UB CAS reminded everyone to prioritize health. The campaign urged individuals to rest adequately, eat nutritious food, and use effective stress-management techniques to stay ready for academic and professional challenges.
UB CAS has fostered a culture of mindfulness and resilience by organizing continuous wellness campaigns and promoting positive habits. The college has actively supported mental and emotional well-being to create a healthier and more productive learning environment.
Through this initiative, UB CAS has strengthened its commitment to achieving SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being and empowers its community to live balanced, mindful, and motivated lives.
