Kyllene Jhorryl S. Velasquez and Bianca Lee Andre S. Villanobos, BSBA Marketing Management students from the University of Batangas College of Business, Accountancy, and Hospitality Management (CBAHM), successfully presented their research paper titled, “Role of Cybersecurity Measures in Consumer Trust in E-Commerce: A Quantitative Analysis Among University of Batangas Students”, at the 19th Global Business Conference: “AL Meets Global Business” held in Manila on March 22, 2025.
Their paper provided a thorough quantitative analysis of how cybersecurity measures influence purchasing decisions among students, offering valuable insights into e-commerce strategies. The research was further strengthened by the contributions of their co-researchers Justine Dave V. Alab, Mark Jude C. Guillo, and John Lloyd B. Olit, whose collaborative work helped bring a more comprehensive perspective to the study.
Under the guidance of their adviser, Ms. Richelle Medina, the team’s paper highlighted the increasing importance of cybersecurity in building consumer trust in online shopping platforms. Their findings were well-received by peers and industry professionals, showcasing the students’ academic rigor and their potential to make meaningful contributions to the global business landscape.
The 19th Global Business Conference, a prestigious event that brings together business leaders, academics, and professionals from around the world, provided an excellent platform for the UB students to present their research and exchange ideas on emerging global business trends. Their participation exemplified the commitment of the College of Business, Accountancy, and Hospitality Management to fostering innovation, research, and leadership among its students.
