It was past noon on February 17, 2025, when participants of the Street Dance Competition filled half of the main road from the Batangas Provincial Capitol to the UB Millennium Gymnasium, where the official kick-off of President’s Cup 2025 was held. Banners waved, flags soared, and cheers echoed as students enthusiastically supported their respective festival teams. Following the Oath of Sportsmanship led by UB College of Engineering Dean, Engr. Henry I. Cabatay, the Solidarity Handshake among all deans and principals, and the official opening declaration of the ceremony—highlighting this year’s theme, “Uniting Spirit, Igniting Intellect, Realizing Purpose”—by Mrs. Lily Marlene Hernandez-Bohn, the Court Dance Competition and Solidarity Dance showcased the participants’ extraordinary moves, marking the conclusion of PCUP 2025 Day 1.
The second day of the main event featured simultaneous competitions held at the University of Batangas-Lipa City grounds. Early in the morning on February 18, competing students showcased their creativity using colored pens at the UBLC Study Area for the On-The-Spot Poster Making competition as well as to those competing in the Infomercial-Making event at the UBLC Library.
The Extemporaneous Speech competition followed at the UBLC Audio-Visual Room, where speakers demonstrated their wit in addressing their assigned topics. The excitement continued as DanceSport contenders took center stage at the UBLC Gymnasium, igniting the energy of the event.
A thrilling exchange of arguments opened the final day of PCUP 2025 at the UB Auditorium, where Masskara and Dinagyang, as the Debate finalists, fiercely defended their stands to claim victory. Up next was the ultimate test of knowledge—the battle of sharp minds in the Quiz Bee. Three festival teams dominated the contest: Masskara, Tuna, Niyogyugan.
The afternoon heat of February 19, 2025, heightened the intensity inside the UB Millennium Gymnasium as the final two competitions unfolded. The contestants of Mr. & Ms. President’s Cup 2025 showcased their elegance and confidence through their assigned uniforms and smart casual wear. Meanwhile, the powerful performances of the eight Vocal Solo contenders echoed throughout the venue.
The event ended with the announcement of winners for each competition. Pahiyas Festival emerged as the Academic Champion, while both Pahiyas Festival and Tuna Festival secured the title of Cultural Champions. Ultimately, Pahiyas Festival claimed the title of Overall Champion.
