Dr. Minerva A. Chavez, Dean of the College of Education, Arts and Sciences (CEAS) of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC), achieved a significant academic milestone following the publication of her research titled “Optimization of SAMR Model Scaffolding for the Development of Descriptive Writing Skills” in the International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education (IJERE), Volume 15, Number 2, released in April 2026. The study, indexed in Scopus, highlights UBLC’s continued commitment to advancing research productivity and academic excellence while contributing to international scholarly discourse in education.

The research examines how optimized scaffolding strategies using the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition) model can enhance students’ descriptive writing skills through purposeful technology integration.
