Dr. Irene R. De Villa, Dean of the College of Management and Tourism at the University of Batangas, was elected Vice President for Batangas during the 20th Annual National Conference of the Council of Deans and Educators of Business in Region IV-A held at Hotel Dominique on March 27–28, 2025.
The appointment was a result of a region-wide consensus recognizing Dr. De Villa’s notable contributions to higher education and regional development. With years of experience in academic leadership, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering excellence in education, professional development, and community engagement. Held annually, the national conference gathers educational leaders, administrators, and stakeholders from across the country to discuss pressing issues and promote collaboration. This year’s event marked a significant milestone for Batangas as Dr. De Villa assumes a key role that will represent the province within the broader Calabarzon region.
