The Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) evaluated the University of Batangas’ (UB) Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) on June 25, 2026, to ensure its engineering courses maintain rigorous standards at the UB Patio Cafe.
Dr. Imelda M. De los Reyes, the program director, led the university delegation alongside Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) Dr. Lolita F. Tegon and College of Engineering (CENG) Dean Dr. Henry I. Cabatay. The evaluation team also reviewed inputs from University Registrar Sharlene A. Perico, HRD Officer Marilou R. Cardona, and Admissions Officer Antonio P. Aquino Jr. to verify the strict legal compliance of student records and faculty qualifications.
This quality assessment aligns directly with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Specifically, the inspection supports Target 4.3, which ensures equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational, and tertiary education. The university tracks this progress through Indicator 4.3.1, measuring the participation rate of youth and adults in formal and non-formal education.
