Dr. Gracia A. Perdiguera, Part-time Faculty Member of the College of Information Technology, Entertainment, and Communication of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC), has been elected as Vice Sector Head for Literature under the Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office of Batangas, marking a significant recognition of her contributions to literary development and cultural advocacy.
The appointment positions Dr. Perdiguera among key cultural leaders tasked with strengthening literary programs, promoting creative expression, and advancing heritage initiatives across the province. In her new leadership capacity, Dr. Perdiguera will collaborate with cultural workers, local government units, and creative stakeholders to develop programs that preserve literary heritage while fostering innovation in the creative sector. The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UNSDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by encouraging opportunities within the creative economy, and UNSDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, through the preservation of cultural identity and promotion of inclusive cultural participation.
Through this appointment, UBLC reinforces its commitment to nation-building by empowering educators to contribute to sustainable cultural development, strengthening both the province’s artistic landscape and community-centered growth.
