The Association of Legal Management Majors (ALMMa) of the University of Batangas (UB) led a university-wide campaign against hazing on February 23, 2024. The initiative aimed to raise students’ awareness of the dangers and legal consequences of hazing under Republic Act 11053, or the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018.

The campaign featured informational sessions, awareness drives, and the distribution of brochures explaining the law’s provisions and penalties. It also encouraged students to promote respect, safety, and lawful conduct in all initiation practices within fraternities, sororities, and organizations.

According to the organizers, the campaign’s goal is to protect the rights and welfare of students while strengthening UB’s culture of safety and accountability. By emphasizing the serious repercussions of hazing, ALMMa hopes to empower students to uphold a safe and inclusive university environment.
