Guico, the session featured two key speakers. Mrs. Elvie Pita discussed &#8220;How AI is Changing the World,&#8221; covering the basics of AI, the rise of Generative AI, and its practical applications and risks in education. Mr. Froilan Andal followed with &#8220;AI as a Teaching Partner,&#8221; demonstrating tools like Gemini AI, already embedded in the UB domain, and NotebookLM, emphasizing AI as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for educators. Organized by the UB IT Center&#8217;s Innovative Learning Section, the event aimed to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to leverage Artificial Intelligence in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central part of the workshop was a hands-on session where teachers learned prompt engineering using the <strong>C.R.E.A.T.E. framework<\/strong> (Context, Role, Expectation, Audience, Tone, Extra Details). This practical application allowed faculty to practice creating effective prompts for lesson planning and activity design.
