The 4th Energy Security and Chemical Engineering Congress (ESChE 2025) honored University of Batangas (UB) Mechanical Engineering (ME) Program Head Engr. Paul Bryan Amagon, ME, MSME, with the Best Paper Award during its conference in Putrajaya, Malaysia, held from August 12 to 14, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Engr. Amagon presented his study, Assessment and Evaluation of Indoor Air Quality Parameters and Their Effects on Student Health, Comfort, and Performance inside Selected Naturally Ventilated and Air-Conditioned Classrooms in Batangas City,<\/em> where he examined how classroom environmental conditions directly affect student well-being and learning outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The study\u2019s findings highlight the importance of engineering interventions and sustainable building designs in creating healthier learning spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOut of more or less 80 papers presented internationally during the congress, being conferred the Best Paper Award was truly humbling and inspiring.\u201d Engr. Amagon shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His paper affirms that addressing local issues, like indoor air quality in the Philippines, plays a vital role in the broader global discourse on energy security and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On August 27, 2025, Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Batangas recognized Engr.
