Pepito, a faculty member of the University of Batangas (UB) College of Business, Accountancy, and Hospitality Management (CBAHM), published their paper in the International Journal of Environmental Sciences (IJES) \u2013 a Scopus-indexed journal\u2013-on August 11, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their research, <em>Disaster and Risk Reduction Practices Among Employees of Accredited Hotels and Restaurants in Batangas Province: Basis for Disaster Management Plan<\/em>, reveals that accredited hotels and restaurants in Batangas practice disaster risk reduction management in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery to a great extent. However, the study also identifies notable gaps, including limited emergency funds, lack of disaster literacy, and insufficient mental health support.
