University of Batangas (UB) – College of Engineering (CoEng\u2019g) persists to prove its educational excellence in honing engineers by landing as the top performing school in the April 2024 Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) Licensure Examinations and placing topnotchers in the Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE) exams, May 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Generating victories<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/strong>With a passing rate of 96.20%, 76 out of 79 takers clinched their spots in earning the title as registered electrical engineers, with 63 out of 63 exam takers (100%) successfully passing in their first take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHindi<\/em> first time \u2018yan<\/em>, malimit tayong maging <\/em>top school. Actually, \u2018yung mga <\/em>first batch ng<\/em> EE way back 1999 ay<\/em> 12\/12, 100%, making the University of Batangas number one top performing school tapos nagsunod-sunod na \u2018yun. <\/em>Even though hindi naman siya <\/em>perfect, at least 80% or above 80% \u2018yung nakukuha nating<\/em> rating,\u201d stated Dr. Henry Cabatay, CoEng\u2019g Dean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite the admittance of the collegiate dean that the department struggled at first due to the reeling effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, stringent measures for the College to continually produce board passers and top performers are achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBasta mayroon kaming<\/em> extra effort na ginagawa para sa mga eskwela. Unang-una, nagtu<\/em>-tutor kami sa mga eskwela, tulad ng<\/em> free tutorial and then of course consistent monitoring sa ating mga nagre<\/em>-review. Sama-sama sila sa <\/em>boarding house and then sa<\/em> boarding house mismo pumupunta \u2018yung<\/em> faculty, head, and syempre ako<\/em> para<\/em> at least matutukan natin ang mga eskwela<\/em>,\u201d explained Dr. Cabatay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Reaching the top<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Students from the Industrial Engineering (IE) department reaped monumental achievements in the 14th CIE board exams administered by the Center of Educational Measurement, Inc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As such, Engr. Dominic Malvin G. Perez and Engr. Nancy M. Axalan from the Junior Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (JPIIE) secured the top 5 and 13 spots in the said exams, which were held on April 14 and 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis is not just for EE but all for students here in the University, specifically sa<\/em> College of Engineering. Siyempre magandang halimbawa at magandang ehemplo ang ginawa ng ating mga nakapasang ito kasi nga sila ay nag<\/em>-sacrifice,\u201d said the CoEng\u2019g Dean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Such victories by the newly registered industrial engineers add up to the thick pages of the history books of the department, undeniably part of a long list of UBian achievers in the engineering field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Solidifying legacies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With these feats from the newly registered engineers, UB CoEng\u2019g once again seals its name and reputation as one of the collegiate departments of the University consistently producing topnotchers that can be of service to the UBian community and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/strong>\u201cKung ano man ang natutunan sa<\/em> school, syempre dalhin nila sa labas. Alam ko naman na sila ay hinahanda namin para sa magandang kinabukasan<\/em>\u2014 to become successful engineers,\u201d ended Dr. Cabatay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Beyond the reams of paper submerging the minds of students with tons of informational analysis and mathematical equations, engineering majors of the University continue to strive to their commitment toward success, fueled by a radiating passion of
