In a virtual awarding ceremony held last August 27, 2021, the 10 Mga Natatanging Mag- Aaral ng Lungsod ng Batangas (MNMLB) were honored for their achievements and contributions in the realm of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MNMLB is more than just an awarding and formation program. It is a community dedicated to empowering young Batangue\u00f1os in community and nation-building. This is presented by JCI Batangas Caballero, City Youth Development Council of Batangas, SK Federation – Batangas City, DepEd Division of Batangas City, and the Ten
Outstanding Students of the Philippines – CALABARZON.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the sixty aspirants, thirty (30) finalists were selected, from which the top ten distinguished students of the City of Batangas were chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Celeste Cananua of University of Batangas- Batangas City Senior High School Batch 2020-2021, and who is now taking Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in UB, made it to the roll of the 10 Mga Natatanging Mag-Aaral ng Lungsod ng Batangas (MNMLB). Out of 30 finalists over 60 participants, Cananua also swept all four excellence awards: Excellence Award in Academics, an award given to the exemplary students who have portrayed not just remarkable performance in their syllabus but for those who also have shown exceptional accomplishments in co-curricular activities such as Quiz Shows, Communication Competitions, and Journalism; Excellence Award in Culture and Arts, a special citation given to the exemplary students who have portrayed extraordinary achievements in the interpretation and expression of human experience through talent-based organizations, competitions, programs, and initiatives; Excellence Award in Civic Responsibility, a special citation given to the exemplary students who have portrayed astounding accomplishments and contributions through outreach programs & community extension projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This award recognizes the students who have shown prominence in working towards the betterment of his\/her community and the society as a whole; and Excellence Award in Leadership, a special citation given to the exemplary students who have portrayed marvelous achievements and contributions in leadership positions, organizational affiliations & involvement throughout their junior and senior high school years. This award recognizes the students who have shown outstanding leadership qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cananua expressed her gratitude to University of Batangas and to her \u201cnatatanging\u201d adviser, and number one believer, Mr. Carl Ivan B. Villanueva for entrusting her the
nomination. “My biggest takeaway from joining the search for Natatanging Mag-Aaral ng Lungsod ng Batangas made me realize that being excellent or outstanding is not a condition we can grab whenever\u2014 it is a state of mind, a lifestyle that has to be justified by actions and principles.
