The University of Batangas (UB) has successfully passed the ISO 21001:2018 Certification Audit for its Educational Organization Management System (EOMS), marking a significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to quality education. The audit was conducted by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. on December 3-4, 2024, at the Patio Cafe, with a team of ISO auditors led by Dr. Catherine Sigua, alongside Mr. Gilmore Rivera, Ms. Ana Theresa Manlangit, and Ms. Merian Domingo.
ISO 21001:2018 is an international standard that specifies the requirements for a management system for educational organizations. It provides a framework for institutions to enhance the satisfaction of learners, staff, and other stakeholders through the effective application of their management system. This includes processes for continual improvement and ensuring conformity with the needs and expectations of learners and beneficiaries.
For UB, the EOMS certification is part of a strategic effort to align the university’s practices with internationally recognized standards, enhancing the quality of education and services offered to its community.
