UBians participate in the 3rd ICBEES at Yangon Myanmar

The 3rd International Conference on Business, Education, Engineering and Sciences (ICBEES 2019) with the theme, “Citation and Utilization of Scientific Research within Southeast Asia” was held at Rose Garden Hotel Yangon, Myanmar last October 28-30, 2019. The event was organized by the International Association of Scholarly Editors, Publishers and Peer Reviewers (IASPER). IASPER is an organization that aims to advance the professional expertise of the scholarly publishers, editors and reviewers; to provide expert services in scholarly journals; to promote publication ethics in scholarly journals; and to support various causes in the promotion, development and advancement of scientific publication.

In lieu with this, it is an honor for University of Batangas and the College of Business and Accountancy to be able to present a research paper entitled, “Interrelation of Senior High School Academic Performance and College Basic Accounting Performance: A Case of First Year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Students of University of Batangas” during the said conference. The proud authors of the said paper are Katrina A. Blanco, Monalyssa S. Manongsong, and Gwyneth D. Ramirez.

“To be part of this conference has truly been one of the highlights of our college journey for this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The conference itself, in general, was a whole new experience for us and it opened numerous opportunities in the field of research. Being the only undergraduate, presenting our study in front of numerous professionals and experts in research was already an achievement”, shared Ms. Blanco. The team would like to also extend their gratitude to their supportive department and to their hands-on adviser, Mr. Vincent Alcantara for their support all throughout.

This opportunity to participate on the said event was indeed a great mean to facilitate a foster means to access and cite research results of scholars in Southeast Asia, to foster collaboration among researchers and institutions in the promotion and production of researches and to forge co-authorship with ASEAN researchers.
