Charizzanne Jewel Napa took a silver medal in the Thailand International Windsurfing Cup 2019 last
January 17-20, 2019 held at Pattaya, Thailand. And recently, Napa once again brought glory to the
nation after striking the second (2 nd ) place in the Singapore Open Windsurfing Championship held in East
Coast Singapore last January 28- February 2, 2019. The said competition featured international racers
who battled for windsurfing supremacy.
The Grade 11 UB student from Mabini, Batangas is one of the seven lucky Filipino windsurfers who
qualified in the competition.
It was not a smooth sail, there were struggles she encountered, one of which is how she gets to balance
her schooling and her sailing, but with the support of her family, friends, classmates, teachers, and with
the continuous encouragement of her coaches, she managed to go through it.
Napa is set to join the upcoming SEA Games which will happen in the Philippines on November 30, 2019.
