University of Batangas and Lingap-Pangarap ng mga Paslit Center, Inc. (LPPCI) sign Memorandum of Agreement
A ceremonial signing for a five (5) year Memorandum of Agreement between Lingap- Pangarap ng mga Paslit Center, Inc. (LPPCI) and University of Batangas was held last January 11, 2019 at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion Church, Batangas City.
Lingap-Pangarap ng mga Paslit Center, Inc. formerly known as Sto. Niño Children Center, is a church-based, non-stock, non-profit organization founded by the Parish Pastoral Council of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Parish since 1982. LPPCI commits itself to the development and empowerment of the poor and vulnerable by providing social services and promoting justice and peace in the Parish of the Immaculate Concepcion.
University of Batangas will provide assistance to LPPCI in the following areas: Economic Development, Human and Social Empowerment, Educational Assistance, Environmental Advocacy and Socio-Civic Support. University of Batangas and LPPCI will work hand in hand in order to successfully accomplish all the activities.
Present during the MOA Signing were LPPCI Chairperson, Rev. Fr. Aurelio Oscar B. Dimaapi and Ms. Andrea C. Lontoc (BOT President) who both delivered short message during the said gathering. Present also were Mrs. Arminda C. Sastrillo (LPPCI Executive Director), Mrs. Cristy S. Cantos (LPPCI Child and Youth Development Program Officer), Ms. Danbeth P. Gavino (LPPCI Community Development Program Officer), and Mr. Louie B. Aguila (LPPCI Bookkeeper).
Also, in attendance were Atty. Jesus V. Mayo (Chairman of the Board of Regents and Vice President for Student Affairs and External Programs), Mrs. Anna Louisa L. Cauntay (SAEP Director), and Mr. Mc Edward Joseph M. Adame (Community Extension Services Asst. External Programs Coordinator of UB).
