While graduation is always a joyous and momentous occasion, it also marks the beginning of a period of uncertainty for every graduate. Questions like, “What job will I take?”, “What are the opportunities out there for me?”, are sure to fill their minds as they step outside the walls of the academe.
Even in this regard, the University of Batangas does not let its students down. This is where the UB Community Relations, Alumni and Placement Office (CAPO), responsible for the university’s job assistance program, comes in.
The office’s main task is to prepare graduating students as they enter the world of work through trainings, assist them in seeking employment by conducting job referrals, job fairs and on-site hiring events and to search for opportunities for improvement for the graduates to become world-class professionals by establishing industry linkages. It continually serves the graduates whenever they need assistance in seeking employment and wherever they are.
Recognized as a university-based PESO or Public Employment Service Office by the country’s Department of Labor and Employment, the CAPO exists to help students kick off their careers in their chosen fields. The CAPO Officer and Placement Coordinator hold strategic positions in various business and commercial organizations that allow them to provide opportunities to the university’s graduates.
